How many of you will eventually upgrade to the new Palm C when it comes out or will you stick your palm TT. Or will you wait for the price to drop to $399.00 after a few month's. I like the the built in 802.11b wifi but not to crazy about the keyboard.

cheers

I guess you all havent heard about Graffiti Anywhere, you can use your stylus anywhere on the screen, have the keyboard and still the 802.11b, Personally I dont like the C because the keyboard isnt backlighted and I belive Bluetooth is gonna take over where 802.11b left off.

I'm sticking with my TT. I'm not enamored with the thumb keyboard, even though many friends say that I am all thumbs. :D ... Also, I have been using Grafitti since the Pilot 1000 and it feels very natural to me. ... For the WiFi, the plan at this time (subject to change) is to get a WiFi/256MB card when it is released.

FYI, for several months I've been using NewPen, which I believe is similar to Graffiti Anywhere. I have started to notice fine scratches on my TT screen, so I have deleted NewPen and am again using the Grafitti area, which I keep protected with a strip of Scotch Type 811 tape.

Not liking the thumb board, neither.
Liking the built-in wi-fi, but not enough to buy a whole new PDA just yet, they'd have to add some more stuff that I want. (And so far, the T|T has most everything I want.)

Plus, T|T sounds right. T|C doesn't. TC is that helicopter pilot from "Magnum", not a PDA.

OldBlue: Ooooohhh...many fine scratches on the screen...oooooohhh. I'm telling Mommy!
Hopefully this won't spark another round of 70 threads regarding which screen protectors are better than others.
P.S. I am still alive. I was on assignment for a bit there, but now I'm back home and on a daytime schedule. April looks good for me. How's next weekend (Apr. 5-6) or the next (Apr. 12-13)?

Impressing enough chicks with my T|T,

But 400Mhz processor does take the pee somewhat. Palm won't need to release the code for it's DSP anymore because all the programs will be geared towards the new TC which has 400Mhz so can easily decode an mp3 and run an app at the same time.

I have only just got my TT and am very happy with it. I have no wifi kit and only a bluetooth Nokia phone. The dimensions of the W and the C will put me off buying it. Its a lot bigger isn't it?

I just upgraded from my 515 to the tungsten T last week.

I was waiting to see what Palm would release next and waiting for the TT price to drop as well (got it for $302 + $17 shipping from MS Superstore).

I would love to have the WiFi (waiting for Sandisk...) and the extra internal memory (32mgs) -- the built in thumbpad was the deal breaker for me. I can't stand those things!

Graffiti is very natural for me - I don't want to be forced to use the thumbpad. If the Tungsten C had the form factor of the TT, WiFi, extra internal memory and "virtual graffiti" it would have been a "no brainer".

I don't enter much data, mostly use the TT closed, so I don't think I'd need a puny keyboard. I love the small size of the TT and will stay with it.

I have in fact heard of GA, but i don't like writing all over my screen, its just a thing i have with writing on what i'm trying to read, its just unnatural.

Pride Of Lions (and anyone else in the San Francisco Bay Area who is interested)

How about Saturday April 12th at 10:30 a.m. at our favorite coffee shop? I've got a couple of new toys to show you and a couple of files you may want to have. ... Anyone else interested in an informal meeting of Palm enthusiasts email Pride of Lions or me for details.

Smeggy keyboard. Hunt and peck is not for me.....the keys are smaller than I would be able to comfortably see.

pdc

will stick with TT...............do the TC without the keyboard and I'll reconsider

The keyboard would be ok for me but not used that much, as Grafitti Anywhere would be used most of the time. But the lack of internal Bluetooth capability is the reason I wouldn't get it. I need to wirelessly connect to my T68i all the time, and I don't want to waste the SD slot for strictly Bluetooth.

Now on the other hand, if someone was to come out with a combo Bluetooth/memory SD card like SanDisk is - with a combo Wi-Fi/256MB SD card then that would be a possibility. Has anyone heard of any BT/memory combo SD cards in the works?

I would like the keyboard - but don't think its work it to get the TT - I like the small size of it better, and I think the bluetooth is better to have built-in for my needs than the 802.11b - I plan on just buying the 802.11b/256MB SD card when it is released.
