Does anyone have experience of using data from MS Money on an EPOC machine? I have become disillusioned with Quicken and am thinking of migrating.

I understand that MS Money can export in Excel format, so I'm assuming that EPOC Sheet will be able to handle that, but I'd be glad to hear of any first-hand knowledge.

Thanks
Julie

Why are you disillusioned with Quicken? I've been using Quicken for some years (currently 2003 on WindowsXP) and never had problems. abp5 info exports quite well into Quicken.

I don't know anything about Money (I do have a good feel for money :D )

Registration every time you re-install Windows is a pain, and apparently I can no longer re-register my copy of 98 - I have to buy a new one. The new version (XG, not 2003, here in the UK) is bloated, too expensive, and too orientated towards online services which my bank doesn't support. I could go on!

Anyhow, Quicken is definitely out, so any other Psion fans using MS Money? I don't need full synch capabilities, by the way, just the facility to port a file across to the Psion for reference.

Why not just use something like RMRBank or Money on your netBook and forget the Windows software?

Unfortunately, the accounting software has to be used by others here who are not Psion-literate. I like to think I have a generous nature, but when it comes to my netBook, unless someone is in possession of a full and unblemished EPOC driving licence, I am selfish and possessive! ;) :D

LOL ... You could always invest in a Clove reconditioned 7 for £200 and a training CD from Steve Litchfield for the less reliable members of the household. ;)

Alternatively, try MS Money. I've not tried using MS Money data on a Psion (either as a spreadsheet or importing it into something like RMRBank or Money) but it should work fine.
