Wireless network Help!!!!!

Having a very hard time with my wireless network.

I have a D-Link Di-614+ Wirless Router and a D-link Air DCF-660W CF card.

I have everything set on server - assigned IP address on the Ipaq and on the PC

I can't ping the PC but I can ping the router. I also can't run VNCview, or vinly (both connect to the PC)

Something is wrong somewhere - I just have no idea where to start. - Please help!

I'm also getting a strange error when trying to wireless activesync

Communications Error - Cannot start communications with desktop computer. Winsock services could not start due to critcal error (error%d)

By the way, I'm on windows xp home

Can your PC ping the router? If it can and can ping the iPAQ then turn off the firewall software you are running on the PC.

I just unistalled the network card and re-installed - that seemed to help...

Maybe I have a network card going bad....

Just a hint learned from experience. Do you have a firewall running on any of your PCs? If so, you must open a hole to allow Activesync traffic to get to your PC. You can Ping it without the hole but you cannot activesync.
