Try it! I'm on PsiWin 2.3.3, and I've certainly had a Siena connected on it no problem, as well as using it for S5, MC218 and netBook. You might have to drop the baud rate for the 3c, I'm not quite sure - just give it a go. Julie MikeMcC 09-14-2002, 01:40 PM and I've certainly had a Siena connected on it no problemReally? I have PsiWin 1.1 and 2.3.1 and can connect with either to my 3c, Revo, S5 and 5mx but I cannot for the life of me connect to my Siena. I was actually playing about with it again this afternoon and PsiWin got as far as "installing files on the Psion" and just hung. So what am I missing...? If you mean that you want to install PsiWin 1.1, then this will co-exist quite happily on the same machine with 2.x but, as Julie says, your version 2 of PsiWin should do what you need if it is 2.3 or later. Version 1.1 has the advantage of the "Data" application, which lets you open Series 3 Data files directly on the PC and can be useful. netBookBabe 09-15-2002, 06:40 AM Originally posted by MikeMcC Really? I've just tried it again to be sure - had to drop the baud rate to 19200 to get it to connect. It comes up with the "unrecognised Psion" dialogue and asks for an identity. Installed a couple of apps, and transferred a few files, no problem at all. Wonder if it's 2.3.3 that makes the difference? Wonder if it's 2.3.3 that makes the difference? It should nevertheless connect without problems using PsiWin 1.1 either at 19200 or 9600 and it doesn't. It isn't a problem, as I can either beam files across from my 3c or use the external SSD drive to transfer files, it's just an irritation that it won't connect :( netBookBabe 09-15-2002, 07:32 AM Originally posted by MikeMcC It should nevertheless connect without problems using PsiWin 1.1 ... Yes, sorry Mike, of course it should - I was half asleep there. So it has never worked then? Windows to blame perhaps? What version are you on, out of interest? What version are you on, out of interest? To be perfectly honest, I am really not sure whether or not the machine has ever connected with any version of PsiWin. I tended to exchange files with my 3c and in those days didn't have a PC, or even access to one. The machine I have both 1.1 and 2.3.1 installed in is running Win 98SE - I will have to play about some more. netBookBabe 09-15-2002, 08:04 AM Mike I had no end of problems with PsiWin on Win98SE, all resolved when I changed to Win2000. I've only had the Siena a few months (the result of another bit of eBay temptation ;) ) so it's never been connected on 98SE. I've still got 98 on my system though, so when I get time, I'll boot up into that partition and give it a try. Kinda drifted, didn't it? PDA Street
