Hi,
Does anyone out there know which wired Ethernet cards are compatible with a 7Book that began life as a build 751 series 7 ?
I have read that the earlier series 7 units can't provide as much power to their PCMCIA slot, so I'd be greatful for advice from anyone successfully running Ethernet on an early machine.
Thanks,
Andy

Didn't get any replies to my query so I went and bought a Psion Dacom 56K + 10Mb Ethernet card from Expansys. At £14 for a "Refurbished" card, I thought it was worth a try.
(Incidentally this supposedly refurbished card is almost certainly unused as it is in absolutely mint condition and came with all of the appropriate packaging).
The good news is that both Modem and Ethernet work fine.
If I have read the serial number correctly my machine was originally a build 751, manufactured in December 1999.
Hope someone may find this useful.
Cheers,
Andy
:D
my compatibility chart certainly will, thanks ;)
Does the cad say NETGlobal, WANGlobal or similar on it?

Hi,
The card is marked as:
PSION DACOM
56K + Fax
10 Mb Ethernet
Gold Card
Multi-function PC card
GSM & ISDN Ready
and has a Globe with "GOLD CARD NETGLOBAL" written around it.
Cheers,
Andy
Brilliant, thanks Andy :)
