Use iPAQ's IR port with desktop

Heya, to all you hardware cowboys out there, maybe some of you can be interested in this project. Maybe you can set a desktop driver to use the PocketPC's IR port and add it as a device to the desktop. That will easily fix problems with many people that want to sync phones and other irDA devices with a desktop and don't have a IR interface on the computer.

Or of this is already available please let me know.

I'm looking for this function as well, trying hard to find out wheter it's possible..... I want to send midi files to my nokia 6610 (free ringtunes :))I'll let you know if i ever find out.

Why not use a USB/IRDA dongle on your desktop? It only costs a few bucks and just plugs in and voila!!
