I know this is a silly question but is there ayway of doing a hard reset on a Storage Card so that you can get the card back into its original state without having to perform a format?

No. and as you said, do a format. Once you formate it it will be in "factory state".

There are programs outthere but they all cost money, you could simply delet everythin on it for a simaler effect, or if you have a card rederer for your desktop then put it in there and formate from your pc.

Thanks Cooldude.

I only asked this in case I had the need to do so.

I've found this program that you can download and use 20 times before having to pay for it. It's called 'prefix' and it certainly restored my CF card. Just make sure you read the help files first.

Hi Mattlyn.

Would you have the web address for that 'Prefix' site, just incase I need a quick fix.

Yep - sure. If you click on this link then it should take you straight to the site where you can download the programme. Incidentally - it's meant to be Pixfer : http://www.glasslantern.com/products/Pixfer/index.htm
Good luck:D

Thanks Mattlyn.

By chance, you wouldn't know of a program that 'un-puppyfies' or "unchews" a new 64MB SD card?

Sorry m8. I'm still a newbie to all this. Try asking AnswerDude or do a google search which is how I found Pixfer (although you might have to try a number of searches).
