I had a very interesting day yesterday with Expansys.

My LAN GLOBAL IT Card finally arrived and did indeed have CARDBUS plastered all over it.

Expansys then assured me that there were some PC card versions in the box but that they had just shipped me the wrong one.

After an extended conversation with a very nice man called Alex at Expansys I persuaded him to go down and have a look in the 'box'. There are NO PC Card versions in the warehouse at Expansys (no matter what the picture on the website says) but he did dig out the 56K 10MB Dacom card for me.

BTW anybody having problems finding that card using the search on the website can just put the code '60-0400' into the search box and that will bring it up.

Regards

<sigh>

I had already made a post saying the Expansys CombineIT cards are CardBus - and I had *hoped* that Expansys might have been persuaded to update the web page accordingly, after I briefly spoke to them.

Hopefully your bad experience will prompt them to correct this major oversight...

Well, my Avaya Gold Card arrived today along with my 56K + 10MB Dacom card.

The ethernet card works ... at least I can connect to the network and get an IP via DHCP ...

The Wireless card seems to work ... just can't seem to find any Access points (I'm at work) ... so I guess I'll have to go on a drive-by ;-)

Has it ever been repaired? If not, then we can be certain that this build of Series7 mobo can cope with the Dacom 56K + 10Mb ethernet card.

As far as I am aware it has never been repaired.

I am the second owner but when I bought it they guy said he had never had a problem with it and had hardly ever used it (the condition it was in bears this statement out)

Regards.

I can confirm that the Avaya Gold Card works with a 7Book (756) and a US Robotics Wireless Access Point.

As this is how I'm posting this message.
