I'm going to get the SL10...should I get the SL20? Is it worth the extra $50?

JohnKes 09-15-2002, 12:43 AM Depends on how much you like changing batteries. I don't think you will save $50 worth of batteries but think about: 1) how often you can recharge. 2) how much you might use it. 3) how many batteries you will throw into the landfill. Also remember that you might lose everything if you are too slow in replacing batteries. I like rechargeables because I leave home with a full charge every day. But if you travel, you will have to bring a charger - and worry about weird international outlets. You can get alkalines anywhere. KlondikeLip 09-15-2002, 11:31 PM I agree with JohnKes. Go with the SJ20 for the rechargeable battery alone because batteries add up down the road. And if you do travel, Sony made the battery adapter pack that'll recharge the SJ20 off of readily available alkalines. But since you're in debate about a Clie, what about the SJ30? Of course that tacks up another 100 bucks, but the screen is awesome. wolfenst 09-20-2002, 10:02 PM Well, I prefer sl10 in some sense. You can get rechargeable AAA batteries. Built-in rechargeables have life span and if it is dead, it's really expensive to replace. PDASROCK 09-21-2002, 08:52 PM Yeah, well, whatever you do: get some form of rechargeables. I had a visor, but the batteries drove me nuts! As far as which one, I don't know much about the s series, but if color isn't to much more expensive, get it. I love color, I didn't think it was such a big deal before I got it. PDA Street
