I just bought Sony-Ericsson 68i and have a Tungsten-T. The two have paired as I can dial numbers by tapping the number on the Palm Address book. I have gone through the steps several times for network connection:entered dialup number, user name and ISP password. When I tap connect, it dials, says "connecting", but does not connect. In fact, I do not here it dialing as I do when I call by tapping numbers in Address book It retries once more then displays error 0x1102 . No help from Palm support as they say they don't support this issue(?). Any help greatly appreciated as I am looking forward to e-mailing using VersaMail. Thank you

Hi
I had the same problem as you have described. I called my cell service provider, Fido or Microcell in this case. I was also missing the last bit of information to connect. After a 10 minute phone call I was on my way getting my mail on my Tungsten. The following is what I had to set-up hope it works for you also.

First set-up new data account on your T68i.
Go to Connect in the main menu, go to data comm., go to data accounts, go to add account, give your new account a name, I called it "GPRS", next you need the APN from your service provider, mine is "internet.fido.ca", YES to accept, next you will need the user id and password and follow the same steps as above, mine is "fido" for both. After this press NO to get back to the data accounts screen, then select the newly created account. This will bring to a screen that has 3 options "edit", "rename" and "CID= follow by a number" write this number down you will need it later.

Now go to your Tungsten.
Go to Preferences, tap on communication, tap on networks, then select dialup connection as the service. fill in your user name and password as setup on the T68i. Select th connection type as your T68i and the phone number as *99***(the number found on your phone after CID=)#. Mine is *99***4#, then tap on connect to see if it works.

If all goes well then you should be connect to your GPRS. Then you can proceed to set-up your Versamail by seeting uo a new account and using this connection.

Hope it works for you, let me know.
