I have noticed that the Toshiba e310 is not being carried by major computer stores like compUSA or Circuit City anymore. Does anyone know a reason for this? Are they trying to phase it out? I thought this strange since it is one of the top Pocket PC's out there. I was planning on buying one, but if they are going to phase it out, i dont want to invest in it. Any info you might have is much appreciated!

I wish I knew the answer to this too.. as there seem to be rumors flying about.
I cant address your questions directly as to why they are not being available, simply because I do not know. But I can tell you that there is simply no reason for hesitation in getting one if you really want one. For 1 they use SD for expandability which many others do as well. Also the basic guts are the same as most Pocket PCs out there, down to the same processor. Out of the box you have everything you could ever need to use your E310.
What I'm trying to say is there is already a large base of them out there, and they use the standards that other Pocket PCs use. So even if you were to buy the last E310 in the world it wouldn't really affect your use of it.
There are still many places to find them online. Maybe the chain stores are weeding them out because the profit margin is smaller then other PDAs.
