Device Information Unkown?????WTF?

Everytime I try and load a game or something to my Axim this little screen come's up and says "Device Information Unkown"....and inside the box it reads..."Unable To Retrieve The Mobile Device Information Please Reconnect and Try Again". Can anyone help me? Dell can't even figure this one out.

Still on the phone with the Dell guy (over an hour) and he still can't figure it out. I have a two week old Dell system with XP and this Axim is only a month old and almost never used. I'm going nuts....any help is much appriciated.

Several things you can try....

Uninstall ActiveSync, reload the driver for the USB driver for the Dell Axim. Reinstall ActiveSync.

All those were tried before I even called Dell. The computer is reading my Axim. I can sync, I can get stuff from Avantgo, ect. I just tried to install a program at my work computer and it worked fine. Something about my set-up at home that is giving me this. Over two hours on the phone with Dell tech support now and no answers....this is very very frustrating. I would love to watch movies and game with my system on my travels, but haven't been able to.
