I do not nor have I every owned a PDA. I do however have a couple of Garmin GPS units. I use my GPS for exploring on ATV and hiking. My GPS is the Garmin 12 XL unit and I was looking to upgrade. I normally use National Geographics Topo program and download routes to my GPS. Anyway while looking around I came across National Geographics Topo Sync program that will let you transfer some of the state topo maps to PDA and then I came across the iQUE 3600. My question is does it look to you guys that the Topo Sync Program will also be useable with the iQUE 3600. I can't see why not seeing that it is a PDA.

Click link below to Topo Sync

Thanks

Probably.

I spoke to a garmin rep a couple of weeks ago and asked about a program that runs on a "regular palm" and allows you to take scanned maps and load them into the palm.

THe palm talks to an attached GPS and displays your location, heading, etc, on the downloaded map.

I wanted to know if this program woukd be able to talk to the built in GPS or if the software loaded on the iQue would interfere.

The rep checkd with a copule of other people there, and responded that they couldn't imagine that there would be a problem... any map software that worked on a palm with an external GPS should wokr with their unit.

THey hastened to add that they had not tested this particular piece of software (GPS Pilot) (http://www.gpspilot.com/) but they felt that it should work.
