My T|T locks-up when I change any SD card. I have 16mb's, 32mb's, 64mb's, a 128mb, and a 256mb card. Some of these cards are SanDisk and others are Lexar. I've emailed Palm Support on a couple occaisions to no avail. Palm Support was absolutely useless by either not responding, or telling me to do the exact same things I told them I had already tried in my previous emails to them (I always included the entire thread of discussion in my emails to them). Palm seems to have a pat response no matter the problem. This problem has occured since my December purchase of the T|T. The lock-up problem even occured before adding 3rd party apps. I've soft-resetted, hard-resetted, and reloaded the 3rd Party apps to try and solve this issue. Here are the specifics:
1. When I remove a card, any card, the T|T just locks up. I do a soft-reset and and then insert the same card, or another card, and the T|T is fine.
2. SOMETIMES the exchange of cards work perfectly when the T|T is powered off when removing a card, and powered off when I insert a card. Rarely does it work well when powered on, but, yes, sometimes it does. At least Palm Support confirmed that I shouldn't have to turn the T|T off to remove or exchange cards.
3 Every once in a while I get the following Fatal Alert:
"Emu168KMain.c, Line:403, illegal instruction 4848 at address 0000AC3E"
My work-around is to load everything (docs, ebooks, games, music, etc.) that I need onto one large SD Card (currently, a Lexar 256mb). So far, this tactic has accomodated me in that I don't have to exchange cards. However, since I love music, I may now need to go to a 512mb Card - (Yikes! the expense!)
