It looks like some of the suggestions made have been implemented, I have posted in an iPAQ area today and I see that there are also areas for those "other" PDAs. :D It's now time for those who truly want to help and need help to stand up and go on with life.
I have an iPAQ 3635 and have for about a year and a half and have used the advice from this site to expand my use. My iPAQ goes everywhere with me I have games, music and everything else on it and on my memory card. I am now getting ready to purchase a 2gb hard drive and am really excited.

Well... at least they listen! The previous reincarnation of the boards was a disaster. All PDA's are not the same... regardless if they run the same OS. Problems with the Clie are not the same problems as a Palm or Handspring. It's good to know that the powers that be have listened to their subscribers and have made a necessary tack to correct the terrible direction the board was heading.

General forums should be used for general questions, specific boards should be used for specific questions... not to hard to figure out.

I'm ready to give it another chance with the sub-forums. And, although I have not yet found out how to access them, they say the old forum posts are archived and available.

Also, it's good to see the forum owners responding in the forums. It's too easy for people to hide behind the electronic veil. It's refreshing to see them actually address forum user issues.

If I don't know the answer to a question, which is highly likely given the fact that there is so much to know - - and I'm no genius - I will try to find someone who does or point you in the right direction.

I want to make this forum work, and I wasn't here in the last incarnation so I have no preconceived notions.

I am so upset at the elimination of the many forums plus a new software? the management should have known this could be devestating to the site.

You want me to give it a chance, well I started when this site was cecity.com and stayed loyal until now. The bottom line is that there is a sea of general message board sites. If you want us to stay you need to:

1. bring back ALL of the previous message boards
2. make sure you have at least one active moderator for each
forum to ensure a reply to every posting within a couple of
days.
3. support any new CE device with a new forum.

I counted over 14000 postings for keyboard based ce devices alone in June. There is a huge amount of us whom need HPC type devices as I have used a 728 to replace my laptop and Palm. If you want the site to be elevated to its former level then you need to perform the above 3 items and continue support for ALL formats of CE not just pocket pc.

We also have a Casio E200 in the household but we will only frequent a site that supports both HPC and pocket pc with forums by brand not generic forums. Your current 12 is NOT adequate to keep the user base here to stay.
