Could you at least make the model with virtual graffiti and no keypad? startrekisthebe 04-23-2003, 11:28 AM You could alwys download Graffiti 2/Jot or Newpen if you really want Graffiti hawkjl82 04-23-2003, 01:29 PM I think a cool feature would be to build the Graffitti area under the keypad similar to the way T|T is built. That way people could choose which they want to use. :p slong 04-23-2003, 03:14 PM From their web sit you can write grafiti2 anywhere on the screen (virtual graffiti area). so you have the best of both worlds, a keyboard and you can still write. The down side is no original graffiti. seve pdagranny 04-25-2003, 06:55 AM I'm glad it has the keypad but was disapointed that the keypad was backlit. Oh well, I guess I still use graffiti on the screen if I'm working in the dark. I was very excited about this model, but after years of problems with Palms I want to wait to hear what others are saying before I buy it. Does anyone have one yet. If so, what did you find out about the music, will it play mp3's? How good is the sound quality, and the how load is the alarm volume? just wondering!! pdagranny Bill Westwood 04-25-2003, 10:40 AM If you want to recreate Grafitti 1, it might be worth looking at TealScript. You can write anywhere on the screen with it Sonny 04-25-2003, 05:30 PM I'm glad to finally see a Palm with a keyboard. I hate gaffiti. No matter how careful I am I frequently get the wrong letter and I have often written one or two more letters before the mistake appears on the screen. I have now been using a Palm for a year after previously using a Psion 5mx. I will be watching the Palm with interest to see if I consider it a worthwhile replacement for my current Palm. It appears to be getting closer to the functionality I was used to with the Psion and miss in the Palm. little-man 04-26-2003, 03:27 PM don't jump the gun. Sony will probably come out with a new PDA soon, some say less that a month. It's likely to have virtual graffiti, a clamshell design, built-in bluetooth, 32 or more mb of RAM, and a ?retractable? compactflash slot. I normally wouldn't mention the compactflash slot, but just a few days ago a driver came out that allows you to use it with regular compactflash memory cards. It's probably going to have a 400 mhz processor. I would wait a few months for the T|C to get some competition, and then make your decision. rrfranczak3 04-26-2003, 03:43 PM If you really want the original graffiti, you can go to www.freewarepalm.com and download graffiti anywhere, I use it all the time & its free, you can use the whole screen, and its the original graffiti we all grew up with PDA Street
