I recently pre-ordered the ique 3600 because it will give me the 3 out of the 4 features I really would like (PALM, GPS and MP3 capability) the only feature I wish this could give me is basic mobile phone capability.
This is probably a silly question but would anyone know if it's possible that future accessories can be added to the ique 3600 for CDMA (1x), GSM or even GPRS capability. It sure would be nice to only carry one unit around instead of two.

I too have pre-ordered - it's most everything I want without buying individual handheld units to do each. If/When I want more or better of the MP3 or GPS, I'll buy a seperate one.

BUT, what I am disappointed is that I too wish it did the cell phone deal, but am not disappointed that it doesn't. What I wish it did though was Bluetooth to interface quite easily with a cell phone (not that I currently own a bluetooth enabled cell phone, but I would if I had a bluetooth pda, with GPS).

I read the other day about the dream of this PDA with GPS being bluetooth enabled and giving you real, live, location-based information - movie listings, resturant reviews, etc. Imagine a web browsing based very specifically on where you were.

Even for the GPS mapping - no more having to keep the whole database of every Cracker Barrel and TGIFriday's in memory - you move to a new area and punch up you want to take a highway stop within the hour and it tells you what and where to go. Now that would be awesome.

I am hesitant on my pre-order for this alone - cause the bluetooth would be something I would want to pay to upgrade to... Hoepfulyl I'll be able to hardwire the phones together like I do now and will get the same functionality, just with wires.

Cheers,
Caleb

Walt and Caleb,

In my touring around trying to find the additional pictures - I read where Garmin is working on a BT version of the iQue. They were having issues of conflict with the GPS radio waves and the BT waves but they seemed confident that they could overcome those conflicts.

I can't remember where the post was however it was an on the floor comment coming from CEBIT show in early January. If I come across the post - there seemed to be an actual name at Garmin that made the comment to the reviewer - I'll post here in a subsequential post!

Found it at Brighthand:

Here it is in raw form:

maybe worth the wait if someone can provide a time line?

Thanks for the optimistic information, I sent out the same question to Garmin and I'll post the reply.
