I have a Jornada 520 which uses a serial connection but my new computer does not have a serial port. Is there an adapter or USB cable I can get which will allow me to sync my serial Jornada with my USB only computer?
Thanks :)

I just had the same problem. I had a Jornada 525 synched via a serial connection & Active Synch 3.5 to my work laptop. The laptop was stolen and replaced with a Toshiba that does not have serial port or an IR Port. I initially tried the USB connector for the Jornada 540. But it didn't work. HP Canada service said that the 525 only operates with a serial port. I replaced the serial cradle (which was also stolen with the laptop) and hooked it up to the USB port using a Belkin F5U109 serial to USB connector. You need to install the Belkin drivers and for Active synch you must also activate the new Com Port using the Active synch icon in the lower right hand corner of the laptop (I have Win2000). This allowed it recognize the connection. Belkin has a website that you can buy direct or locate a reseller. Fortunately someone else at work had this converter.
Good Luck. It worked for me. :)
