I read somewhere that if ur axim has C1 instead of B1 in the systeminfo txt file then u actually have a xscale255 processor in it and not an xscale250...
would be nice as I have one of these newer models but I dont believe it...anyone else heard about this?

Just read the stuff on brighthand it the answer does indeed seem to be yes!
wohoo! I don't care whether it runs faster - but the x55's have much better bettery life apparently so thats where i get interested...
only confusing this is that though mu chip is the C1 revision my ROM version is A00 - does that mean its quite an old version?

I think if you apply the ROM update - downloadable from Dell support site, this would be corrected. For me it shows A02 after the update.
