I am new to PPC 2002 development but have been developing for the Palm for 3 years. I would like to create similar apps to work on the PPC 2002 but have run into a problem.
I need to know a way to identify the PPC that my app is running on. Is there a user name? ID number? Any way of uniquely identifying the PPC that the app is running on? I have had problems in the past with users beaming my app and "sharing" it with others.
On the first form, when the app opens, it checks the hotsync user name, performs a calculation based on that and then looks to see if the registration number that I have sent to them matches this calculation.
I need to do something similar to that on the PPC but do not yet know what uniquely identifies a particular PPC.
