I've had my Philips Nino 500 for 5 years now and it is still working for me. However, the battery that it came with eventually stopped charging and the ones that I purchased from eBay never held a charge.
After a year of going through Duracells like water, I eventually took a chance and purchased some rechargeables that looked like they might work from Radio Shack. I put it in uncharged and let the Nino system charge it up and it works great.
Go to www.RadioShack.com and look for the 1.2V 1500mAh AA Nickel-Metal Hydride Batteries.
