I have a Cisco Aironet 340 PCMCIA card, and for a while it was working seamlessly with my netBook and access point. Then, it just stopped working. It happenned right after I had turned it on, and then the screen had flashed and turned off. I turned the power on, and when I tried to connect to the internet, I get nothing. It says something like "unable to locate hostname".
I've tested the card in a laptop, and it works fine. My guess is some Operating System thing failed, but I've re-installed it many times with no success.
Only things that are different about my netBook versus maybe someone else's, is that the backup battery is completely dead (but I've left it in there).
