About two months ago I broke the LCD of my Toshiba e310. I didn't know where/how to contact Toshiba, so I left the PDA sitting in my drawer until I came across this site and read about people recieving replacements. My prefered route is to send this back to Toshiba and request for a refurb. e740. A few questions:

1) How much should I expect to pay if I upgrade to the e740 rather than get a replacement e310?
2) Should I try to replace the screen myself, as some people have suggested to me? I'm wary of that because I might end up with a broken PDA without a warranty.
3) Should I sell it instead? I doubt I'll get anything worth it back for trading it in, so I very much prefer that I can just contact Toshiba and get a replacement.

I'm new to PDAs, and I don't know where to go from this point. Please help. Thanks!

I would suggest doing what you yourself suggest. Contact Toshiba's PDA folks. They are very helpful if you explain in detail what you require. You can pay a fee to get a replacement quickly I think. I doubt it will be as quick as you would like though... if you are like me :-)
