Sync suceeds but no data copied?

I could use some help with this too. I am trying to connect my 5mx to a Packard Bell laptop running WinXP.

The connection seems to be OK, and when I Synchronize, the program runs OK and eventually gives OK dialogue box - but there is nothing being moved into Outlook!

I get no error messages, everything looks OK, but it doesn't do anything.

Any help gratefully received.

There's a copy of a PDF from Psion describing how to optimally set up synchronisation in my FAQ. Try that out, and post back if you're still having problems.

Unfortunately it did not help my current situation. I have tried re-istroducing the 5MX, and manually exporting a file but always with the same result. It LOOKS as though it works, and indeed items in the laptop's Outlook are successfully exported to the 5mx, but nothing passes back from 5mx to laptop.

One thing I notice - my Outlook does not have Psion Sync Plugin showing in Add-In Manager. Do I need this, and if so, where do I find it?

Grateful for any more straws to clutch at.

Yes, it should be in there but it should have been installed automatically. I assume you are using PsiWin 2.3.3 and not an earlier version? Also, have you run the "Psion Synchronization Wizard" to set up the sync tasks you want to perform?
