Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : REVO+ Synchronisation Lotus Notes
Hello, I am trying to synchronise my Lotus Notes (5.0) Agenda with my Revo+ Agenda using InSyncProE. I'm running W2000 and PsiWin 2.3 (latest download) When running the synchronisation, I get an error message in the end stating that the process did not finish normally and that there may be errors. When comparing both agenda's I find none or little from my Notes Agenda has been copied over to the Revo. The error log only lists one or two agenda entries (with repeats)
I tried reinstalling both PsiWin and InSync a few times but the results remains the same.
I also tried to hard reset my Revo and try sync again to no avail.
Anybody familiar with this problem and (hopefully) a solution?

Nils,
PsiWin 2.3.3 is actually that latest and is required to work with Win2K. Can you confirm this the version you have?
Have you checked InSyncPro's website? There have been some updates there and they have a pretty good knowledgebase that might help you sort things out.

Thanx for your suggestions Jim,
I've installed the latest PsiWin which is indeed 2.3.3 and I have tried to locate the InSyncPro website but apart from the psion and handango websites I cannot find any InSyncPro designated websites. If there is one, I'd appreciate a link.
I did come across an upgrade for InSyncProE and installed it but also without any result.
(I found a little bit strange that when I buy software, I also immidiately have to buy an upgrade. Instead they might have better offered me the complete package in one go)
I'm starting to think that it may have something to do with the Lotus Installation, not the InSyncPro software...anybody got other ideas?

Nils,
For some reason, they keep the web site well hidden. InSync Pro is actually made by Time Information Services. You can find a discussion group on InSync at http://www.timeis.com/enhancedbrowser/index.html .
It appears that TIS is no longer making InSyncPro from the looks of their web site. Given this, you may want to look at Intellisync for Symbian Devices at www.intellisync.com . You can try a free download and see if this works any better for you.
There very well could be a problem on the Notes side that's causing the sync to fail. Your Notes adminstrator should be able to check your files for integrity and run a repair routine to make sure the files don't have any corruption that could be contributing to the problem.

Dear Jim,
Thanks a lot for the tip, I tried the trial version of Intellisync and it works like a charm...now I will have to figure out how to get my money back from InSyncPro and instead invest it in Intellisync :)

Nils,
Glad to hear Intellisync solved your problem. Intellisync actually works very poorly with almost any other PIM but Lotus Notes. For some reason, they seem to have gotten that bit right but don't ever use it for Outlook or Lotus Organizer.
I hadn't realized until I went to the TIS site that they actually stopped evelopment of InSyncPro. At one time, I think Psion had an ownership stake in TIS and they were the developers of the very first syncing software for the Series 3. Apparently, they are now going the way of a lot of other Psion developers, which is to run in the other direction  .
