Free 128MB ScanDisk w/Zire 71 purchase

There has been a thread going on this topic @ www.palminfocenter.com, but I don't think I've seen it discussed here. In Sunday's newspaper there was a flyer from CompUSA advertising an instant $20 rebate on the purchase of a 128MB ScanDisk with the purchase of any advertised PDA. Then a $70 mail-in rebate, so the ScanDisk ended up being free. The Palm Zire71 was on the of advertised PDA's. I purchased my Zire 71 at Staples last week. I took my receipt and the CompUSA ad to the Staples store, asked if they would match the ad and with no hesitation, the manager gave me a free 128MB ScanDisk. Sounds like Office Max might be giving people a problem about matching the CompUSA offer. I'm not sure.

Thanks for the heads up on the free memory card. I IMMEDIATELY, after reading your message went to Staples and got them to give me free memory card. You saved me $70. People better take advantage of this free offer!!!!

I took the ad to my Staples and they refused to honor it. I bought the Zire 71 anyway and a 32 meg memory stick. I came home and called the corporate office at Staples..they also said no.
I went by Best Buy, they said sure! I returned to Staples and for 20 bucks or so more, got the Zire 71, 128 ms and the warranty! I am thrilled. I've had the Clie 710, Nz70, Nx and just sold the Nz90..this thing does everything they do..I like the screen better and the pictures are better than the Clie Nx series..all for $500 cheaper than the NZ...AND..I can actually carry it around without being weighted down. There is nothing I don't love about this!
