Can't get Zire 71 to Connect

I need some advice. I have the latest Real One player on my desktop computer. I also installed the Palm Real One Mobile Player on my Zire 71. I followed the instructions to the letter on setting things up. My desktop Real One player keeps showing the Palm as not connected. My Zire 71 is on and the Palm Real One Player screen is on when I put the z71 in the cradle (with the unlocked 32 mb SD card in place). I get the tones indicating the Palm is in the cradle seemingly connected to the desktop Real One Player but it keeps saying disconnected.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, do you know how to fix this?

Hi,

Possibly it could be the USB connection, especially if using a USB hub. If you are using a hub, try plugging your cradle directly into your computer's USB port.

I myself DO plug my cradle into a USB hub and it works. But this problem you are describing happens on random computers...why I do not know.

I did have a similar problem with a Nomad II MP3 player that would not transfer music...even their tech support was absolutely baffled.
