Dear All,

I just got a my Palm m130 and am very new to PDAs and would very much like to have the ability to check my email or access the web via my Cell phone, I now have a NOKIA 3310, yes it has no Infra Red so I am going to buy another one,
But which one, I like NOKIA so I would like to get another model but not the most expensive, just one that has enough for the job.
I just want a simple Infra Red connection via the phone to the PDA. Have any of you any advice,
Also, what software is required for my PDA to be able to connect and use the phone as a modem.

I have a palm m515 and usa a NOKIA 3360 to connect to the internet (I had to add the feature of wireless internet from my wireless service provider. This feature activates the phone's modem). The programs I use are Eudora Web (only shows text and it's free!) and I'm trying Handspring's Blazer (shows text and graphics, but costs about 20 bucks). Both can be found at PalmGear. Your PDA can be setup to connect to your cellphone by going under prefs and tapping network. Hope this helps.

Dear Gatgetbuff,

I thank you for your reply but I could not find the 3360 on the NOKIA web site to see it's specs, are you sure this is the model.
I use a NOKIA 3310 at present but it is very basic, i.e. has no Infra red connection or WAP.
I am in Cape Town, South Africa, here we use GSM or GPSM as our mobile system, is it the same in NY?

It appears the nokia 3360 is works only on the TDMA and it only appears on the US site for nokia. You'll probably need to contact nokia to get a phone that will work for you or try another cell manufactorer. Good luck!:)
