Ok, just got my wireless router and wireless CF card for my Ipaq 3850. I currently have 2 computers hooked up to landlines via a hub, each with a separate IP. I am planning to just connect my router directly to my hub and have my ISP assign me a third IP to use with my router and my wireless connection on my Ipaq. I installed the Wireless CF card software on the Ipaq and the power, internet, and wireless lights on the router are all on. When I try to connect to the internet with the Ipaq, it says "trouble connecting unable to connect with current settings. To change your connection settings tap settings" but I'm not sure how to set it up from there? I also clicked on "start" then "settings" then "network adapters", then "properties" on my WCF12 Wireless CF card and it says "Use server-assigned IP adress" and "use specific IP adress" then spots to put in the ip adress, subnet mask and default gateway. Should I leave this on server assigned IP adress or do I need to input the IP manually and all the other information as well? The only problem is that I don't know what IP adress my ISP assigned for this connection? Its a cable connection so it should be a static IP right? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am totally lost here. Also if anyone needs any of this clarified or needs to ask more questions to be able to help, please ask away:)

problem when I first started using Wi-Fi, but I did not change anything with IP stuff, I only played around with the drop-down box that has choice of "Internet Settings", "Work", etc. After choosing one of them, it worked and I was on the net. I am not a techie, but I'd say give it a try.

Go to the Settings - Connections.
Make sure that you have selected "The Internet" in the box under "My network card connects to:"
