e740 Always white (blank) screen

Yo!

On my new E740, i have used for aprox. 4 days, has the screen turned blank, and extreamly white. I've tired to reset all the ways i know possible:
* Turning on and off
* Pressing the reset button on the side
* Removing the batt. for a few days.

- nothing helps.

At the good ol' forum i saw another with the same problem, i would very much like to hear if you got your toshiba running again.

I've bought the toshiba in USA, but i am now in "rotten state of Denmark" :)> , do anyone know if Toshiba has Worldwide garantie on the e740, i can't find anything in the manual or in the stack of other papers in the box

I recommend getting on the Toshiba tech support site and initiating a real-time chat with a technician. That's what I did when my first e310 started to fail. Basically, if you are aggressive enough about explaining that it just isn't working no matter what you try... they will replace it. Especially if you demand it :-)

You deserve to have a working product and they should know how upset you are. They sent me a new one overnight... granted, I pushed for that result since they initially wanted to send me a temporary unit and have mine fixed. Who needs that hassle I say!

I was even willing to pay for a new one and then have them credit me the old one... just to expedite the process.

These companies need to realize that we - the users -bought these damned things because we depend on them daily and can't have them fail - and certainly can't be without them for a couple weeks while they 'fix' them.

After all.. we are addicts... aren't we? :-)

I couldn't find the live chat, so i phoned Toshiba Denmark, and after a 20min talk, he agreed that my pda should be repaired.

He'll send a box for it, and then i will have to wait (again) to get to use my pda... <sigh>

ps) If you wan't to by the expansionpack(usb+vga), maybe you should buy it Denmark, it's pretty cheap. 250dkr (without (25%)salestax ) = 34$. I've asked them to double check their prices (risky! :) ), but they say thats the price they will sell it for.
Don't buy the PDA though... 6000dkr (without tax) = 810$
