Got tired of having MS Import crash my 610, so I went out and bought a desktop memory stick reader (a Sandisk SDDR77). My desktop OS is Windows XP Pro with service pack 1.

The reader seems to work just fine. I can put a memory stick formatted on the Clie into the reader and see all of the files. I can copy files to and from the memory stick. It's much faster than MS Import too.

The problem comes when I put the stick back into the Clie. I get a popup telling me that the stick needs to be formatted. If I don't format and put the stick back in the reader, Windows can still read it just fine.

I do remove the stick from the reader correctly (wait for the data light to stop flashing, then choose "eject" from the context menu, and then wait a few seconds for buffered data to be written before removing the stick).

Has anyone seen a similar issue? Any suggestions for how to fix this?

Please try to reset your Clie 1 time.

And power Off your clie before insert that memory stick.
