good point, but I noticed another downfall. It looks like the stylus silo, the headphone jack, and the IR are all inaccessable witht he lid closed?

I'm operating on the theory that if it fits the Zire, how could it possibly fit the Z71 and allow for use of all functions?

The case should fit both the Zire and Zire 71. Look at the dimensions in this comparison chart.

Some of the functions of the Zire 71 will not be accessible when it is in the case.

I found this on the internet. Looks like it has been designed exclusively for the Zire 71. It appears to be an overseas purchase, but does cater to the US. I haven't purchased it, but if anyone does, please let us know!
