several ebooks and sd cards. HELP

I have 3 medical books that use the same palm reader (Franklin) but I am unable to have them all in the same card. It is a pain to to change sd cards every time i want to see a different book. I have a Tungsten T (palm os 5.0). I also had a visor pro but some of the programs do not work with the new palm TT. Could you please, HELP ME. I bought a card rader thinking that by placing them under:
/palm/launcher/
might work but no success so far.

Yes, indeed it come in sd cads. The books I have are 5 minute medical consult, pdr consult and the washington manual 30ed. The came on individual cards on about 16 mb each. My sd card is a 128 mb. My dilema is that I would like to have them all in one card, so I won't have to be changing cards everytime I wish to see a different book.
The all use the same reader (Franklin reader) and it does work with sd cards. Right now I have the reader in the palm ram and one book in the sd cards, and it works good. I have tried a few thing and I just don't know what to do. Could you help me??

if you know each ebook you could copy them from the card to ram and then insert your 128meg card then move them to the card. you them delete the version on in ram.

I tried as you sugested and Not good. How did it work with your palm. Can you help me??
Is the zLauncher the one that came with the sc card??

Try copy SD->Ram->SD with filez (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/filez.shtml) a freeware utility. Or the latest from Palmgear (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=9992) (I hate PG new policies)

Or use gentleman (http://www.mulliner.org/palm/gentleman.php) also freeware

I had treid what you said. I copied to ram and back to sd and still no results. I got the evaluation copy of launcher X and ZLauncher as well as the zl manager and still no results.
I even tried by having one book in the ram and the other in the sd card and still it only recognized one book.
I read on other forums that some times xlauncher works but no to me. I might be doing some wrong. :confused: :confused:

Did you originally put the books on the SD cards or did you purchase them already burned?

If already burned, then the books might be locked onto the SD card (you cannot copy). This is a feature of SD cards to keep people from pirating people's work.

If you put them on the card, then just get the originals and move them to your big card.

Or use a USB card reader (about $10).

I have the originals. they all come on individual sd cards. I bought an sd reader and it was the only way to copy them otherwise it can't be done. I tried using filez and filepro latter on. each card comes with a regist number that can't be repeated and a start.prc file. Inside /palm/launcher there is the reader and the pdb file.
I think the problem is in the palmregsdmmc.txt file. The once for Emergency Medicine looks like this inside.

Are they all from the same manufactor/software company?? There is a chance you might be able to get them to help you if they are all the same maker. Just explain you have all their products, but carring 9 SD Cards is a pain and you want to condense it onto one. A lot of Palm companies are very responsive to their customers (hint, hint Palm)

I think you are right. Though, they might not want that to happened. Since, if some knows how to compact it all together, they might loose some business. Thanks. I will keep you posted.
