I recently reinstalled a Palm IIIxe to a computer. Adjusted settings accordingly. The user reported double entries on the PDA. Nothing looked out of the ordinary on the profile settings, so I took a look at the Pocket Mirror. (there was only one profile and it only syncs to one machine)

I noticed that the Pocket Mirror had subdirectories.

Pocket Mirror
Archive (subdirectory)
Calendar (subdrectory)
Contacts (subdirectory)
Notes
Conflict (subdirectory)
Calendar (subdirectory)
Contacts (subdirectory)
etc....

I have not seen this before. Can someone educate me on what these subdirectories do and if this is causing the double entries?

I actually have never noticed the subdirectories on the Standard PM. THe tech support at Chapura is great. The directions below were sent by Chapura in reference to dupes and may be of use.
Here is the Chapura info on removing the dupes.

Please download and run the following file:
http://download.chapura.com/util/delcaldupes.exe.

When you run that file it will give you two buttons "List duplicates" and
"Delete duplicates". Click on List duplicates first, and after it finishes
click on delete duplicates. Then change your synchronization action to
Outlook overwrites handheld. Then after that sync finishes. Change your
synchronization action to Synchronize. This will remove your duplicates for
you.
