...I'd have a little more patience. I don't think that's a bad question that people are too high-and-mighty to answer. I just think that not many people know.

I, for one, would be interested in knowing, but if no one here knows then...

All that said, I applaud your enthusiasm and hopefully the answer will appear momentarily.

well i didn't mean it the way i think you took it. i meant it more along the lines of was it a dumb question to ask onmy part?? i am not that savy with PDA's and the like, but now cell phones that's another issue. i didn't mean any disrespect to any of the people on this forum as i have been any to learn a great deal from everyone. how quickly we assume the negative on the internet, it is very hard to show emotion on the computer screen. sorry again if i offended anyone.

I don't know the answer to your question. I know there are probably half a dozen browsers of differeng types out there that run on a TT so if I were you I'd be downloading them to see what they can do. It's a reasonable thing to want to do so maybe one of them has addressed it?

Try searching Google for some Palm OS web browsers.

The only thing I can suggest to you is to find some reviews or download the Palm OS 5 Simulator (not the Emulator!) and in settings, redirect Netlib calls to host TCP/IP.

That should allow you to test out all the various web browsers before placing them onto your device thus saving you time and any headaches that may arise from software incompatibilities, crashes, etc. :)

Though keep in mind if an application does not run in the simulator, it does not mean that it will not run on your device. Some stuff just doesn't work inside the simulator.

I have also been looking for this feature in available Palm browsers, but no luck yet. There is no file download feature off the web.

I am using snappermail which would allow downloading JPEG attachments. The Tungsten's packaged email program can also do this.

Xiino used to do that for pre oS 5 devices. I hope they update Xiino for OS5 soon cus Xiino really was the best browser by miles before.

What I really want is the abilty to download .ZIP files to SD and then open up the ZIP files and install .prc or .pdb files from them. All that without a pc just using a palm and modem. I DEFINATELY saw a program that did that once, but I can't find it now. Anyone know what I mean? Thanx.

Its a little pricey - ~$35..

didnt check before...apologies but it may be worth it (?)

what gives here, install 10 progs and you exceed the price of the machine on which the software is being installed..

I guess everyone needs to make a living..

sorry, you want a browser..

check out pocket link

http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=16405

you will need uncompress utils (eg those bundled with snappemail) to unzip etc
but hope this helps...
