can't hotsync.....HELP!!!! please reply

when i try and hotsync my m125, it says that that device is being used for another application. What does this mean and how can i fix it? I used the joystick for flight combat but not the other one. Both USB stations say this, but i only use one. Whats going on?

the list of potential problems that can result in the error message you are seeing is long.

1. Are you seeing the error messages on the PC or on the Palm? Have you tried a soft reset?

2. Do you have an uninterruptible power supply that runs software on the PC and has either a USB or serial connection to the PC?

3. Make sure you only have one account running on the PC - the user account you want to sync with. That account should have had administrator rights during installation of the Palm software and for the first HotSync.

4. Open Device Manager and check for "Unknown USB device." If there is one there, remove it. Now leave Device Manager open and try to HotSync. Does anything pop up? The Palm device should only appear in Device Manager during HotSync. If you see one there otherwise, you should remove it.

Two other things to try:
1). rename your Backup Folder and try syncing.
2) Remove the Palm desktop and reinstall. Make sure of the HotSync ID being yours. Use the link to find out how to uninstall properly.
