hello, firstly i'm new to the pocket pc scene so may seem to be asking the simple questions.
i would like to transfere some of my music files from my pc to my dell but the media player will not playt them because it has not got a licence to play them.
what can i do to change this.

Yes i understand your concern in this matter.
I have also just bought a dell axim like yourself and i think its rubbish as you just cant do anything on it!

What are your views on Beaming files?

On your desktop WMP under Tools--Options, clear the Enable Personal Rights Management check box (Copy protect music in WMP 9).

thanks for your help, i did this and the files where copied across, but just when it reachs 100% it says that an error has occured. when i try and open the file on my pocket pc it says that it is unable to open the file

To get by the insane Microsft anti-piracy restrictions, you have to think like a pirate. Dont use any Microsoft software you dont have to use to accomplish the task.

Convert the file to MP3 ( if currently .WMA) and download/install a third party app. to play the files on your PPC. Personally i recomend "Pocket MVP" simply for the ability to play mp3, divx, mpeg, avi, etc with one small application. it is a freeware download available at www.webattack.com or http://home.adelphia.net/~mdukette/downloads.html
