Would like to know if it is possible to uprade Palm 130 to 16 MB without using the expansion card. Reason is that some data especially that of various dictionaries cannot be transferred to the expansion card and so they use up the memory of the main.
Also does M130 shares accesories with M505/515 more than with M1XX series?

I suppose that it is possible if you are reasonably sophisticated electronically to upgrade to 16 mbytes. I am NOT certain, but I suspect so.

Regarding storing stuff on the card, look into PiDirect as an alternative solution to this. I store a 10 mb dictionary on my card and access it all the time without the least bit of problems. I suspect that you might be over-engineering the solution here.

Thanks for the prompt reply. May I know how to use Pidirect as alterrnative?
Thanks a lot.

It is very simple. You need to install the software, and move files into a specified directory on the card. It is best for static databases, e.g., dictionaries, and applications.

You can find out more at http://www.pitech.com/software/PiDirect2/PiDirect2.htm

I know this is a more costly method, but I figured I'd let you know your options. I saw this site posted on a forum:

I guess they actually upgrade your RAM to 16Mb. And maybe down the road, if you ever need your screen replaced...
