Hi,
My issue is regarding IR and winxp.

I installed PsiWin 2.3.3 then proceded to install Ircomm2k v2 alpha7. I followed all the instructions in the readme for ircomm2k and I think it installed properly. The only instruction that seems a bit iffy was this one:

"install a new infrared device using irdafw2k.inf (one for each physical IR adapter attached to your system)"

I presumed that meant going to Add new hardware and installing another "Built in infrared device" but use the irdafw2k.inf instead of the xp one.

So after that, I went to Communication settings in my revo and set it to infrared with 115.2kbs transfer speed. Next, I went to My Psion properties and set it to use Com4 which was the virtual com port and set 115.2kbs.

Finally, I pointed the revo at my infrared port. I didn't know what to expect.....nothing happened....

So I opened up My Psion and the connecting window poped up....but failed to connect :-(

Well it never actually said failed to connect, it just dissapears and it is still not connected.

Am I doing anything wrong??

This is my first experience with a revo and psiwin 2.3.3 and ircomm2k.

Those were the exact steps I took. Did I miss anything out? Am I using the right applications??

Please tell me what I should do.

Thanks :)

My first suggestion would be to set a lower connection speed at both ends; 57600 say.

I will admit I've not used IRComm2K, so if anyone else has a better suggestion, please educate me. ;)
