Can anyone help me please? I have a compaq Ipaq with a SPS3000 barcode attachment. I also have a sql database (Easily convertable into access if needs be) of assets owned by my company and various details about them. Every asset has a unique barcode on it.
What I want to do is be able to scan a barcode and it bring up the information about that asset, make certain fields editable and sync the databases.
I have an idea of how to do this in practice but I have downloaded the SDK from symbol and the VB application for scanning but on use of the scan control the IPAQ gives an error of unable to create scan control.
Anybody have any ideas, or a better way to achieve what I am trying to do?
Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated
