I love my TC, but I'm having trouble with the 256 mb ScanDisk SD card. The TC seldom recognizes it and, when it does, it tends to lose it within a few seconds, or when pressing the home button. If it does recognize it, I get messages like "The startup application cannot be launched on this card" or "Format of card not recognized" (paraphrasing) or "Mediacat could not be written to expansion media". Palm said to reformat the card, but that's tough when the unit can't see the card. When it did see it, the formatting failed.
Any ideas? Thanks.

I have a similar problem here. I recently bought a Lexar 128MB SD Card for my T|C, and for the first couple weeks, it was working fine. Then, it just. . .stopped working. I don't remember if it was something I did or what, it just didn't work anymore. I have a SanDisk card reader, and it can read/write files on the card fine. Also, when I put it in or take it out of my handheld, it turns the T|C on as usual. However, whether the card's in or out, the Category dropdown list (on the T|C Applications screen) says "Card" at the bottom, instead of "128MBLEXAR," which is what I named the card when I formatted it. When I click on this, it doesn't detect any data on it, and gives me a blank Apps screen. However, it knows the data's there, as when I go into FileZ, it says that only 34MB is available. In that same program, when I try to open up the Externam Memory tree, it says:
Error:exp:Card Not Present in ItemFolder::readItems()a(/)
After clicking OK to this, it says:
Error:vfs:File Bad Ref in ItemFolder::readItems()v
If the card is not inserted, it only gives the first error message. Does anyone else have this problem, and even better, the solution?

Heather - the link you have given does not give a list of compatabe cards as such but just states that "Palm SD expansion cards and expansion enabled handhelds are fully compliant with SD (Secure Digital) specification" I find it hard to believe than Sandisk (in my & Spikees case) & Lexar ( in Tsereves) are not fully compliant cards.
Any other thoughts
