Comm Port on Ipaq H3850

I'm writing code in Evb, and trying to communicate between an Ipaq H3850 and a GPS. The 'Navman' GPS connects via the wider port on the base of the Ipaq.

In Evb, I'm trying to find out data output from the GPS, and assume I need to use a Comm control, specifying which port, eg Comm Port 1, and connection settings e.g. '4800,N,8,1'.

I've done a similar exercise with an HP Jornada and Garmin GPS which was fairly straightforward.

Can anyone help?
