I have seen a few threads addressing this and unfortunately, I don't think it is possible. So I guess we are going to have to get used to Graffitti 2. It does take some time and it can be aggravating. I am still working on it myself.

When I asked the same question of the support folks at Palm, they came back with an emphatic No. We're stuck with Graffiti 2 for a while.

Cheers,

That is too bad.

I dislike that I have to dot the "I" but what is even WORSE, when I write a word that ends in "L" followed by a space, I get a "T"!!! That stinks. I have to remember to pause after a word ending in "L". I graffiti very fast and don't want to have to pause after a letter, or even have to think about it for that matter.

Don't forget Tealscript:

http://www.tealpoint.com/softscrp.htm

As I understand it, the default database is very much Graffiti 1. I've been using it for years, though, so I noticed no difference when moving from an m505 to a Z71. :)

I second the though on using TealScript as replacement for Palm's built in Grafitti / Grafitti 2.

TealScript as mentioned defaults basically to Grafitti 1. And the good thing is you can custom modify all your letters/numbers/symbols to your own handwriting style!

I HATE THE T ON GRAFFITI (or however you spell it) 2!!!!!
I like the original graffiti better.

I will try TealScript and see how it works.

I find it interesting that Xerox hasn't gone after Tealpoint after its successful suit against Palm. Though the result in the Palm litigation is not res judicata (for you lawyers out there) against Tealpoint, you'd think knowing how the court will come out on these facts would encourage Xerox to defend its patent against TealPoint too.

Jot 2 works great on my Z71; you can customize keystrokes (like i,t,etc) without problem. Big improvement over both g1 & g2
