I currently bought Plam OS 3.5 from Palm.com and when i triedto upgrade my palm from Palm OS 3.1. palm desktop 3.1 installed fine and everything went well until i had hotsync the palm os 3.5 installer to my palm. when i tried to hotsync the computer did nothing. the palm just wouldn't connect to the computer. i looked in the hotsync setup and everything is on the right spot including the com port.
