I have a Navman GPS500 on a m130 will it work on the Zire 71

I don't know about that one, but the Magellan does. If you have a Zire, the only way I would imagine would be to try to see if it will fit. A sales rep at Staples told me that the connector is a universal connector (that was the m500 one, but maybe the m130 is the same way, just a bit of a size difference).

If you're planning to buy a GPS, take your Zire to the store and see if it fits. Before you buy the Zire, make sure you can return it if you need to.

XMap is the only software I got to work with my GPS. If yours supports NMEA, that may be the only way to go.

Thank you for your reply, I spoke to Navman to day, and also got my Zire 71 and tries it on My navman if you hold it at the right angle it works but is you clip it in it does not, Navman said that Palm have change the universal connector just a wee bit but I might be able to get a cable made up for it.. plus my Navman has bent pins so that would not be helping, the Zire 71 is dam nice and fast compared to my M130...

I now got HandiMap working on the Zire thanks to the authors of the program. They updated the GPS plug-in to support the Zire (something about not all ports showing up....)

Anyway, I can say that the display of this program is nicer (Hi-Res 320x320 mode is nice...) :)
