Will RIM ever support POP3 email users with the Blackberry 5810? If so, when will this miracle occur? Many people access their email through ISPs.

RIM is getting competition from Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung phones via Sprint PCS Vision and AT&T mMode. Cell phones may not be ideal for email, but you won't have to fumble around for the 8510's handsfree cable just to answer a call. The HandSpring Treo lacks a user-replaceable battery. The upcoming Sony Ericsson P800 should run rings around the Blackberry and Treo.

"Will RIM ever support POP3 email users with the Blackberry 5810?"

http://www.blackberry.net/solutions/home_personal/software/integrations/index.shtml

"....you can integrate your BlackBerry handheld with an existing Internet Service Provider (ISP) email account.

Messages sent and received from the handheld use the ISP email address. Copies of messages sent to your ISP account are retrieved by the BlackBerry Web Client* and pushed to the BlackBerry handheld.

*Please check with your service provider for availability."

So who's your service provider, or do you have a 5810 yet? The web client is out there, and it's pretty cool, especially if your ISP will forward a copy of every incoming message to your BB's address. Forwarding from the ISP is a lot quicker than the polling which is only done a few times each hour.
