It also reads palm formatted books. VRam 05-26-2003, 08:00 AM You can also use the MobiPocket Web compnion to convert HTML and TXT books to Mobi format. mobipocket 05-27-2003, 07:56 AM Originally posted by felixdd www.mobipocket.com Trial and after the trial period is over, it's completely free (strange...). ... Downloading the Mobipocket Reader on your PDA gives you a free 14-day trial of the Mobipocket Reader Pro. After 14 days, you can either purchase a license of the Pro version or continue using the free Standard version to read ebooks on your PDA. Im wondering because I have alot of text based stories that I'd like to convert (=> PopTart629:p Jack B Nimble 06-23-2003, 08:37 PM Standard TXT and PDF files are not compressed, so you will save some space converting to MobiPocket files, which are usually compressed (though you can choose not to during the conversion process). If you have lots of basic txt files (which do not need text formatting like bold and italic), you might want to look at Palm Doc also, which compresses well, and there are lots of WinCE readers which will read Palm Doc. If you need to retain some text formatting, you could also look at iSilo, which has an even better compression, though I am not sure how it compares to Mobipocket. A word of caution, if you have lots of stories in PDF format. I do not know of a converter to go directly from PDF to Mobipocket or iSilo format. You will probably have to convert PDF files to some other format (Word or HTML, maybe?) first. Good luck, Jack PDA Street
