Just noted that the price of the Buffulo slimline WiFi card is down to 28.50 + VAT at Ebuyer ! Might be even cheaper elsewhere ?? I've not been looking at 802.11b cards for some time, since I purchased a glut of regular Orinoco Silver PCMCIA cards.
Buffalo slimline card is the holy grail for Netbook users, as it shares the low power of the Orinoco without blocking the stylus. Not sure if the internal antenna is as good as a 'proper' Orinoco though, or whether you have that useful external antenna socket ?
YMMV;-)

Hi Fladda,
I got one of these earlier in the week. It is fantastic coverage ranging right down to the bottom of my garden !!! I am using it with a D-Link DI614+ (Router+WAP). Was on it for an hour last night and battery was still showing almost full. Connection speeds are full 11mbs although this is without WEP (probably not going to go down that route for 7book). Got it from DABS for £29 +vat
Edited - Almost forgot, there is an tiny external ariel connector covered by a small rubber bung (which could get lost if not careful). Not had to use it as signal strength is fine.

Sounds like the same antenna socket used by the 'standard' (i.e old) Lucent Orinoco cards and derivatives. These were also covered up by a small 'rubber bung'.

As far as I know the power consumption for the Buffalo WiFi card is more the less the same as a standard Orinoco card ??
Another excellent feature are the two neat holes in the Buffalo's plastic antenna housing. Holes are *perfect* for holding the Netbook's stylus whilst browsing !! Excellent design you guys, although I'm sure these holes were actually intended for something else;-)
If a WiFi card can have sex appeal, then the WLI-PCM-L11GP has got lots...

lol
Too true and thanks for the tip on the stylus holder. Works a treat. I always wondered whether I would ever use a wireless card, but since purchasing it, my life is now complete........ok a very sad and lonely life, but a life none the less !!

Just found a site called DataMind which have a clearance sale on this card. It is £25.52 ex. vat or £29.99 inc vat, and they appear to do free delivery to the UK! :D
See DataMind (http://www.datamind.co.uk/merchant/buffalo_airstation_products.htm)
I've just ordered one, and they added a £3 service charge, but still the total price was £33.52 inclusive.
