Hi there,

I just got my netbook a few weeks back (its one of those malay books btw) and am now toying with the idea of getting myself on the web via a wifi card.

My question is basically how do I go about getting myself connected? I know there are issues as to which cards I can use - ive seen a few cisco aironets on ebay and may just grab one of those soon, but does the type/brand of access point matter at all? and plus, do I need extra drivers or anything to complete the installation.

Thanks in advance. Regards, IS.

Sorry to cram in yet another question - but I was wondering, is it possible to sync a CF card with psiwin instead of the netbook itself. Reason being, I havent gotten arnd to getting myself a psion sync cable but I do have a CF card reader.

Thanks!

Check my FAQ for wireless issues - URL below - there's pointers to all sorts of resources. Bottom line though is I'd go for a Lucent chipset-based card (not a Cisco) since the Lucent chipset takes less current, has very good range, and is fully supported by NetStatRF.

No, Psiwin cannot sync with a CF card plugged into a a card reader. No harm in doing complete backups of the CF content though.
