Is it correct that OS5 supports soft Graffiti? Since the Z71 has a great screen, could someone write some image viewing software that would use the full screen and display over the Graffiti area a la Sony?

The Z71 does not have any displayable pixels in the graffiti area, so it cannot support soft graffiti (it only has digitizer -input only- pixels in the graffiti area). Devices with soft (or virtual) graffiti can be recognized by the fact that the graffiti area disapears when the unit is powered off (aka Handera 330, Sony). One can also determine this from the specifications. Square screens (320x320) means no VG, where as rectangular screens (320x480) implies VG. waduino 05-22-2003, 11:05 PM Makes sense. Is there a non-Sony 320x480 transflective TFT Palm OS 5 out there other than the Garmin (not positive that the Garmin is transflective but it is TFT)? Thanks. genoahous 05-23-2003, 04:30 PM I wish... IMO T|C should have had virtual graffiti not the stupid thumb board (cannot use stylus on buttons & not backlit). The only things wrong with the Sony devices are: The Memory Stink Flash slot (should be SD or CF). And on the devices with CF slot, it should have been fully functional. The price And for the NX & NR are too big for the pocket. txer 05-24-2003, 07:14 AM Graffiti 2 (yes on the Palm Zire 71) does support the whole screen as an input area... Greetz, Wendel I think you missed the point of the question. waduino was asking if one could use the Graffiti area so pictures could be displayed on a larger area. waduino was not asking about garffiti input.
